The University of Illinois Law Forum is the online companion to the Law Review. The Law Forum attempts to enrich the scholarly debate surrounding the subject matter of the Law Review by presenting comments on recent articles from the Law Review.
Comments for the Law Forum are solicited at the direction of each Law Review lead article author. Each author may propose a list of potential commentators for their article to the Law Review. Based on the author's list, the Law Review will find a suitable Comment author for the Law Forum. After a Comment is published on the Law Forum, the author is permitted to post a response on the Law Forum.
Law Forum Comments are intended to be relatively brief (~2000 words). Complete citations are optional. The Comments are lightly edited, mainly for mechanics, and checked for any sources cited. The goal of the Law Forum is to publish Comments within a few weeks of the Law Review issue appearing in print.
For the inaugural issue of the Law Forum, the Law Forum is delighted to publish a Comment from Professor Dhammika Dharmapala on Professor Bank's article "Dividends and Tax Policy in the Long Run."
The International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) for the Law Forum is 1942-9231.
